On Tuesday 01/09/2020, We once again have access to Wansford Trout lake From 14:00h to dusk, if you get there before 16:00h please let me know.
Come on down and have a fish, a chat and try to catch an elusive Wansford Fish,
I recommend small patterns especially shrimp or scud.
I hope to see you there, stay safe, protect yourselves and if required please wear a face covering.

David Southall nice catch again........ Tiny flies are the answer to sippers feeding on Midge Pupae on a low Driffield Beck. Size 26 to 30 Shuttlecocks accounting for some good trout. Gamakatsu C12 BM hook, Yellow 8/0 Uni thread body coated with UV resin & 3 tiny CdC tips for the wing, locked in with a couple of horizontal thread turns between the CdC & hook then the butts trimmed..

A few flies to try out, the big ugh klinkhammers are to suspend buzzers off, don't know if they will work but they were fun to tie!

Short morning session on Driffield West Beck. Very hot & very spooky fish. Managed 2 small trout, 1 small dace & 1 chub on an Elk Hair Caddis, plus a good trout that took a Utah Killer Bug lost in the Ranunculus.
